Have your say on EV charge points in Adur and Worthing

West Sussex County Council is leading a scheme to introduce electric vehicle (EV) charge points across Adur and Worthing - and you can have your say on where they should go.

Around 1,500 requests for charge points in the county have already been received and comments from the public will help decide where the final locations are situated.

So far the locations suggested in Adur are Chester Avenue in Lancing and Connaught Avenue, Eastern Avenue and John Street in Shoreham, which would have three charge points at each potential site.

In Worthing the proposed locations are Crescent Road (Amelia House), St Botolph's Road (Aspen Court), Brighton Road, Downview Road, Elm Grove, Galsworthy Road, Grand Avenue, Wordsworth Road (Grasmere Court), Gratwicke Road, Ham Road, Lyndhurst Road, Manor Court, Nelson Road, Park Road, Queen Street, Richmond Road, Ripley Road, St George's Road, Sandwich Road, Tennyson Road (Sonnet Court), Stoke Abbott Road, West Parade and Westbrooke, as well as two locations in each of Bath Road, Lansdowne Road and Goring Road, which would also have three charge points at each potential site.

All seven district and borough councils in West Sussex, as well as the county council, have signed a contract with Connected Kerb to install and maintain the new charge points across the county.

More than 170 charge points have already been installed in the county, with works on an additional 250 charge points in progress on residential streets and in car parks. The project is fully funded by the government and Connected Kerb, meaning there is no cost to Adur & Worthing Councils.
